spatial imagination
What is space? How does it work? The purpose of this course is to examine these questions by analyzing and critiquing the notion of space and looking into cultural values and societal norms, and their influence on behavior in relation to physical and/or virtual environments. This year the students worked on ‘physical and digital space’, including relationships, interactions, considering the changes related to the pandemic. Students analyzed the spatial characteristics and explored the relationship between virtual and real space, and the logic of spatial relationships to investigate the rules and conventions of representation, evaluating the emotional quality of the object and its contribution to atmosphere in space.
We cordially thank to Evan Brinks and VITRA for their contribution to this course by helping us to explore the impact of the pandemic on our life and design of our environments.
