TECTONICS AND MATERIALITY
Tectonics thematizing the making of, or the relationship between technology and appearance. By exploration of materiality the student will get acquainted with a broad spectrum of occupied positions regarding tectonics. Objectives are to express tectonic properties in self-made concrete and perceptible architectural artifacts and other means of visual media, and place them in an suitable context, and to recognize and place tectonic properties of existing architecture and selfmade material based artifacts in the scope of relationships between technology, construction, appearance and atmospheric perception.
