Spatial Imagination

The purpose of this course is learning to look critically at the notion of space. The student will gain understanding of how a work of art and architecture is produced and how the observer responds to it.

Building inspection for future-proofing

In this hands-on course, students investigate the indoor environmental quality of existing educational spaces, collect on-site data, analyze results with scripting tools, and explore best-practice research.

Spatial Imagination

What is space, and how does it relate to Fashion, Fabric and Architecture? How do they both affect our perception of space?

Parts & Details

Well-engineered and architecturally sensitive building parts such as foundations, structures, facades, roofs.

Making Meaning

Students explore design thinking through modelmaking and drawing. They have hands-on practices to design spaces and abstract design forms.

Spatial Imagination

How will our living experiences evolve in the future, and what will the future of shopping look like? in collaboration with IKEA Eindhoven!

Structure & Architecture

The first year course Structure & Architecture addresses the relation between Structural Design and Architectural Design and how these disciplines can mutually benefit from each other.

Walkscapes

Analysis by observation and implementation of different methods, scales and dimensions: film (4D), model making (3D), drawing (2D) and text (1D).

Spatial Imagination

What is space, and what is sound? What is silence? And how are these related? How does a specific sound affect our perception of space?
