The health and well-being of Dutch neighbourhoods are increasingly challenged by urban densification, unequal access to green and active spaces, and the impacts of climate change. While policies and frameworks for healthy living environments are expanding, translating health data and guidelines into spatial design practice remains limited. This raises a central question for the future of our cities: How can spatial design respond to the health and well-being challenges of Dutch neighbourhoods by using data and digital twins to explore and envision healthier living environments? This master’s studio explores how AI-enhanced data-driven design approaches can support the creation of healthier and more inclusive urban environments.
