ARCHITECTURAL HALLUCINATIONS
In this studio we address the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning in architecture as part of the creative process. We explore the use and potential of AI as a design method and as a vehicle for spatial and material strategies. AI with its subfields of machine learning and deep learning have evolved rapidly in the last years, infiltrating already many areas of our daily life. Machine learning has the potential to substantially change the nature of the creative process, redefining the relationship between designer and the computer. How do we reconcile machine creativity and human creativity? How do we define the notion of control relating to design?
